WALT; write a non chronological report
Remember to use:
- an opening paragraph explain what your report is about.
- headings and subheadings for the main body.
- an closing paragraph, recapping on what you have written.
- Pictures, maps etc with captions to explain what they are.
Remember to use fact not opinions.
The Mighty Gorilla
Did you know the mighty Gorilla is an endangered animal? Gorillas are fascinating creatures and live mainly live in Rwanda and other many countries in Africa.
What do Gorillas look like?
The Gorilla is big and strong. It can grow up to 1.80cms or 6 feet tall. Gorilla’s arms are longer than their lgs and they also have 32 shiny sharp unbrushed teeth. They can live up to 35 or 40 years old. They have black fluffy furry fur. They have 10 toes and 10 fingers. Their toes and hands look exactly the same.
Diet
Gorillas stick to a mainly vegetarian diet. Gorillas need a lot of food up to 20kgs a day, if they don't get enough food they will probably die. Gorillas eat bamboo, fruits, stems and random plants.
Habitat
All gorillas live in Africa. Mountain gorillas live in Rwanda. They live somewhere which is 10,000 feet up, where it's cloudy, misty and cold. But don’t worry if it’s going to be cold because gorillas have fur to keep themself warm. Lowland gorillas live in the forests of Central Western Africa. They moved around depending on how much food is there.
